Job Purpose
The Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of individuals. The role includes administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver the best outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor and record vital signs and symptoms of patients.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors and therapists.
- Assist in medical procedures and wound care management.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and infection control standards.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-care procedures.
- Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse qualification (e.g., RN, RGN, RMN, or equivalent).
- Valid nursing license/registration with the relevant regulatory body.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of healthcare procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and professional integrity.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience in a hospital, care home, or community setting.
- Additional certifications in first aid, CPR, or specialised nursing fields.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems.
