Job Purpose

The Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of individuals. The role includes administering treatments, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver the best outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and record vital signs and symptoms of patients.
  • Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including doctors and therapists.
  • Assist in medical procedures and wound care management.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and infection control standards.
  • Educate patients and families about health conditions and post-care procedures.
  • Respond effectively to medical emergencies and provide first aid when necessary.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse qualification (e.g., RN, RGN, RMN, or equivalent).
  • Valid nursing license/registration with the relevant regulatory body.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of healthcare procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and professional integrity.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital, care home, or community setting.
  • Additional certifications in first aid, CPR, or specialised nursing fields.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation systems.
